In January, 1979, at a Georgia gathering of “pro-life” Muslims, Jews, Mormons and Protestants, U.S. Congressman Henry Hyde was lauded as a hero for his attempts to ban federal funding for abortion. The Republican from Illinois gave a stirring keynote speech, during which he made a startling admission:

“I stand before you, a 652-month-old fetus!” Congressman Hyde declared, spinning his invisible 54-year-old umbilical cord above his head like Wonder Woman’s golden lariat of truth.

Congressman Henry Hyde, who is now a 984-month-old fetus, has announced he will not seek re-election when his current term ends in November this year.

A U.S congressman earns about $165,000 annually. If aborted, my fetus will humbly accept the Republican nomination. Victory shall be his!
